I come from a family that has always empowered vulnerable persons. From
my grandmother, to my mother and father. This is done through providing
skills that will enable uplift their livelihoods. When i started teching finance
at Makerere University Business School, I applied the business concepts to
my life in a modified way to enable me better handle money. This worked! I
started going advising my peers and it worked for them too.
Coming from a family that focused on empowering vulnerable persons and
growing up seeing that women are not financially included, stay in
demeaning and toxic situations because they cannot take of their
themselves motivated me to start this advisory. When you improve a
woman’s fiancial literacy it improves their wellbeing and thus the livelihood
of the whole household. This can result into a reduction in poverty.
